Abstract Submission

Thank you for participating in the 5th Experts in Stone Disease Conference – ESD 2022.
Below you may find useful information on your abstract submission.

Deadline to submit your abstract: April 1st, 2022


TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

  • All abstracts must be submitted on-line.
  • Abstracts sent by email will not be accepted.
  • All abstracts must be submitted and presented in English.
  • All abstracts accepted for presentation will be published on the Conference website prior to the Conference.
  • All abstracts accepted for presentation will be included in the Conference Book of Abstracts
  • All authors and co-authors must be registered in the conference platform, as users. This does not require to be registered to the conference.
  • The author who submits the paper is – by default – the presenter.
  • The presenting author is required to register to the conference upon submission.
  • The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission.
  • Each author may submit and present up to 3 abstracts, with his/her own registration.
  • Submitted abstracts should include non-published data.
  • Abstracts previously presented will not be accepted.
  • Abstracts can be edited/updated before the submission deadline expires.
  • When the abstract is successfully submitted, you will receive an automated confirmation email. In case you do not receive it, please contact the Conference Organising Bureau.

GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

For all type of presentations (Oral, e-Poster, Video presentations) an abstract must be submitted, as follows:

  • Click the “Submit” button on the “Call for Papers/Proposals” field
  • Select your preferred type of presentation – Click submit // If you do not have a preferred type of presentation click “Submit” at the “No preference” option
  • Register as a user in the platform, if you are not yet registered
  • Add/register all co-authors
  • Choose the Thematic Code – Topic
  • Add the abstract title
  • Insert the abstract text in the respective field (type or copy/paste from an existing file)
  • You may submit (drag and drop field) any supporting files (diagrams, images, statistics)

Authors
The author who submits is considered – by default – the main author and presenter.

The submitting author must be registered as a user at the conference platform. Please add your full name (first name, last/family name), your affiliation (institution / hospital / organisation etc.), your position and your email. Make sure that you use exactly the same details that you will use or have used for your registration in the conference.

The submitting author must add all the co-authors, upon submission:

  • Please click on the “Add authors” button
  • You will be asked to enter the co-author’s email
  • If they are registered as users in the conference platform, their profile will appear and you just choose it
  • If they are not registered, you will be asked to register them
  • Make sure that you have all the required data for all co-authors (full names, emails, positions, affiliations).

Thematic Codes – Topics
You must select ONLY one Thematic Code – Topic from those available in the list, which is more relevant to your abstract.

Abstract Title
The abstract title must be entered in the relevant field, using UPPER CASE. Do not use full stop at the end of the sentence.

Abstract Text
The abstract text must be submitted with the following sections:

  • Objectives
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusions

Max. number of words: 250, including abbreviations and references

  • Abbreviations should be defined the first time they appear in your text, before being used as an abbreviation only. Example: ESD (Experts in Stone Disease)
  • Please make sure the text is checked for any spelling, syntax, or grammatical errors.
  • The abstract will be published as submitted.

ABSTRACT ACCEPTANCE AND FINAL PAPER SUBMISSION

All abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee and the assigned reviewers, by April 18th, 2022.
By April 25th, 2022, you will be informed via email about the outcome.
The Scientific Committee and the reviewers have the right to change the selected type of presentation and/or the thematic code of the abstract.
If your abstract is approved, you will have to submit your final paper by May 15th, 2022.
Details on final paper submission will be available in due time.

CONFLICT OF INTERESTS DECLARATION

By submitting your abstract, you confirm that you will declare any conflict of interests in your presentation at the conference.
Please note that you will be asked to confirm the above during the submission procedure.

SUBMITTING AUTHOR’S DECLARATION

By submitting your abstract, you confirm that you agree with the following Submitting Author’s Declaration:

  • I confirm that all information in this abstract is previewed and correct.
  • I accept that the abstract cannot be changed (partially or entirely) after the final submission.
  • I accept that the abstract along with author’s & co-authors’ names/positions/affiliations will be published in the conference’s publications or uploaded on the conference website & platform
  • I confirm that I am the sole owner of the abstract content or have the rights to use the content and that no property rights can be required and will not be, from any end.
  • I confirm that, in the content of the conference, the submitted abstract can be used and presented on social media or any other form of promotion, to present the conference and its outcome.

Please note that you will be asked to confirm the above during the submission procedure.

IMPORTANT DATES

Abstract submission deadline: April 1st, 2022
Notification of acceptance/rejection: April 25th, 2022
Final paper submission deadline: May 15th, 2022
Registration deadline for authors/presenters: May 15th, 2022 – Please bear in mind that the Early Registration period finishes prior to this date
Conference dates: June 10th – 11th, 2022
